This Oscar-qualified short film wouldn't exist without Nathan Nzanga recording his most vulnerable self on camera over a decade of growing up. It wouldn't exist without the culture of artistic vulnerability fostered by Nzanga's community at the Prodigy Camp. In this historic moment of racial reckoning and social unrest, we pose the question:

"What can art do that politics can't?"

We want to discuss the importance of vulnerability, the effects of politics on personal storytelling, and the process of finding ‘the movement beneath the moment’ in crafting art that lasts. And, while we doubt America's problems will be solved by one short film, we are hosting a panel on January 28th 1-3pm PST inviting the most nuanced and out-of-the-box thoughts on policing, race, news media, and the dehumanization of groups in America.

“Maybe I’m not loud enough.”
